Neat Bar and Microsoft Teams

Does Neat Bar Work with Teams? Full Details

The Neat Bar was originally designed for Zoom: Zoom Rooms and Zoom Meetings. Therefore, it is reasonable to ask, does Neat Bar work with Teams?

Luckily, Neat is Microsoft Teams certified, meaning you can use your Neat Bar with Microsoft Teams. As Zoom and Teams are two of the most popular video conferencing software, Neat is proud to support both, enabling more and more people to enjoy this futuristic video technology.

The Neat Bar & Neat Board are certified for Microsoft Teams and will support Microsoft Teams and Teams Rooms for Android. You don't even need any extra hardware to use your Neat Bar with Microsoft Teams. All you have to do is set up your device and enjoy high-end Teams meetings.

Using Neat Bar with Microsoft Teams – Step-by-Step Guide

Neat Bar Setup

To use your Neat Bar with your Microsoft Teams, the first step is, of course, setting up your Neat device. If you were already using your Neat Bar with Zoom, you could simply run Microsoft Teams to enjoy your video conferencing.

Alternatively, if you have just got yourself a Neat Bar, you can follow the following step-by-step guide to set up your device on your own:

Power Up your Neat Bar and Neat Pad

First of all, you'll need to power up your Neat devices. Remember, to set up your Neat Bar, you have to pair up your Neat Pad with the bar. To do so, you'll need to power up your devices. You can simply use the PoE option and Ethernet cable to power up your Neat Pad.

To power up your Neat Bar, you'll need an HDMI cable and power cable. Connect the power cable to the AC power and the HDMI cable to the HDMI port of your screen. You’ll also need to connect your device to the wired or wireless network to connect to your private network.

Select your Setup Scenario

A Neat Bar is nothing if not versatile. While setting up your device, you have 3 setup options. To complete the setup procedure, you'll need to connect both the Neat Bar and the Neat Pad. To do so, select the "Set Up Neat Bar with Controller" options. If you have just a Neat Pad, you'll need to select the other 2 options as preferred.

Pick a Mounting Configuration

As mentioned earlier, the Neat Bar features 3 mounting options. You can select between screen, wall or table mounting. To make the installation easy, the setup wizard will provide a step-by-step guide about mounting configuration.

Connect Your Neat devices to the Internet

The next step is to connect your Neat devices to the internet. If your Neat Bar and Neat Pad are connected to each other through an Ethernet cable, you'll automatically connect to the internet. In that case, you can skip this step.

Alternatively, if you want to connect to the network wirelessly, you’ll need to connect your device to the WiFi.

Select Your Neat Bar

If you are setting up your Neat Bar in your office, you might see multiple Neat Bars on the screen. To enjoy Microsoft Teams meeting on a Neat Bar, you have to select your own Neat Bar. For this approach, connect your device to the HDMI 1 port and power it up.

On the screen, you’ll see serial numbers. If you don’t see the serial number of your Neat Bar, make sure your device is connected to the correct input – preferably HDMI 1 port.

Use Your Neat Bar with Microsoft Teams

The last step is to use your Neat Bar with the Microsoft Teams. Once you connect your Neat Bar to the internet, it will download all the necessary updates. DO NOT UNPLUG your device while your Neat Bar updates.

Afterward, you'll be asked to adjust your Neat Bar. You can make changes according to your needs and preferences to get an optimal viewing experience.

Lastly, you’ll be asked to launch the Microsoft Teams Room. You can activate your Microsoft Team either by signing in with your Microsoft account or entering the activation key. Afterward, choose the correct Microsoft Room and enjoy superior-quality audio and video conferencing!

In a Nutshell

The Neat Bar is not limited to just Zoom Meetings and Zoom Rooms. Yes, this device was originally designed to work with Zoom: Zoom Rooms and Zoom Meetings. But now, you can also use a Neat Bar with Microsoft Teams.
