Client : Brent Council
Location : Wembley, London
Project Type : Bespoke LED Banners Supply & Installation
The Brent Council Civic Centre opened its doors in June 2013 as was designed to streamline the efficient delivery of services to Brent’s diverse community and accelerate the regeneration of the northern part of Wembley.
The centre’s key features of a landscaped garden, exhibition and gallery space, community rooms and a state-of-the-art library are widely used by the public for conferences, weddings and other events.
The Civic Centre contributes to council savings of £2.5m a year, as well as offering a much more integrated service to residents, all under one roof.
To commemorate Brent being the London Borough of Culture 2020, they have a programme of events to explore the stories, art and emotions that hold life in Brent together. They needed a solution to dynamically update information in a way that is highly visible to all visitors to the Civic Centre, especially in the lobby which all visitors pass through.
Due to the multi-use environment, providing up-to-date, key public information to a varying audience was proving difficult for the Civic Centre as they only had fixed positions to display posters and other collateral
As the project was so important it had strict cost & time restrictions which had to be adhered to. Brent Council knew they would need an experienced provider for this project.
Having worked with 21st Century AV for 10 years, Brent Council immediately knew where to turn to get the right solution.
After a full survey and analysis of the project, we provided 4 x LED Banners 1.2m wide x 4m tall in bespoke frames.
Due to the required location the banners needed to be in, the challenge was mounting the frames.
We quickly commissioned bespoke, secure mountings to ensure there was no delay to the project and we installed the frames to the core central pillars of the Civic Centre.
